Holiday Season Greetings
To all of our friends and business associates, all over the world, we extend our best wishes and greetings for this holiday season. Among our friends we count people from 29 countries, 7 major religions and 6 major cultural groups. All of them helping make the world a better, cleaner place by developing electric two wheelers.

Electric Bicycles World Wide 2002
Many people in the light electric vehicle business have started their career by reading Frank Jamerson's excellent bi annual book on the industry. Published since 1994, he examines the state of the industry, the leaders, the trends and the technology.
Most of the information inquiries to CycleElectric result in our recommending a purchase of this book. It will answer most questions about the basic shape and direction of this business.
Frank is extremely well informed, as most of the movers and shakers in this business communicate regularly with him - including all of the CycleElectric associates. In fact, the Editor owes his start in this business, and most of his early contacts to Frank's help. He is a wonderful, and much appreciated mentor.
Order your book by contacting Frank at elecbike@aol.com

Police and Electric Bikes - with WaveCrest motors.
Soon to be on the market are 30 mph, silent, electric bikes that are capable of (depending on battery configuration) up to 30 miles of top speed operation. They fold to fit into the trunk of a cruiser, and are based on the WaveCrest Tidal Force military bikes. Anyone who rides one immediately asks how to buy one. (www.tidalforce.com) Available with flashing red and blue lights, siren, panniers, and a very macho look - based on the excellent Montague folding bicycles-for police departments everywhere.

German Post
As German postmen get older, they start to feel the weight of their bicycles that deliver the bulk of the mail in Germany. So the German Post is providing Yamaha powered (but experimenting with many options) electric bikes. Testing of these bikes and batteries is in the hands of ExtraEnergy e.V. . The bikes are built by Biria - and are the heaviest duty electric bikes in the world.
